Undergraduation BioScience Engagement Track (UBET) is a two-year $203,000 funded grant through the USDA/CSREES that proposes to construct a bioscience lab in each of three partner high schools, from three high school districts. Through UBET, over 400 minority and non-minority high school students will successfully complete a college-level bioscience course, and many will acquire experiences and knowledge to pursue a bioscience career. UBET will help fill the bioscience workforce pipeline in Maricopa County and in so doing, increase the number of minority employees.
