ENV 101 Introduction to Environmental Science
Discover the connections between living and non-living components in nature, with a focus on human influences. Hands-on labs and field trips focus on applying science methods of inquiry to solve environmental problems. No Prerequisites.
ENV 230 Foundations of Environmental Science
Analyze the interactions among living and non-living environmental components from various scientific perspectives, focusing on human influences. Labs include field trips to natural habitats where students investigate and try to solve local environmental problems. Prerequisites: CHM151 and CHM151LL.
ENV 280 Physical and Chemical Processess in the Environment:
Air and Water
Discover the components and processes of the earth’s atmosphere and hydrosphere. Learn about their chemical and physical properties and how these affect people and ecosystems. Labs include hands-on field exercises, sampling and analyzing the air and water in natural habitats. Use environmental instruments and computers to analyze results. Prerequisites: CHM152, CHM152LL, and ENV230.
